  Warm-ups and check-in will run approximately 4-4:20pm

  Cost: $25

  Matches will begin promptly at 4:25pm  and we will run beginner followed by intermediate, followed by advanced, with awards for all three at the end of the event.

  The tournament will be Co-Ed with awards for the top 3 rollers in each division.

  This tournament will have 2-3 different divisions depending on registration number:

  Beginner - For those who have been rolling for less than 6 months, and aren't super comfortable rolling alone or in matches yet.

  Intermediate - For rollers who have been rolling a little longer and are comfortable rolling alone or with others but have yet to compete more than twice.

  Advanced - For those comfortable rolling in matches and looking for a higher level of competition! This is also the division for those who have competed in USLRA-sanctioned tournaments or  have won/placed in Intermediate

  (In the case participation numbers only allow for two divisions, intermediate and advanced will be combined in some fashion.)

  Join us for the Rusty Ankle this May- the final indoor tournament of the Spring! Rollers will compete in a round-robin style tournament; all matches are best three out of five rolls. Participants should expect several logrolling matches, a t-shirt, and pizza after the competition.

  The 2025 La Crosse Open marks the 24th Annual Pro and Amateur Event!

  All matches at the La Crosse Open will be best three out of five rolls and follow USLRA rules and regulations.

  Pro Logrolling: Prepare to catch some thrilling action from some of the world's best logrolling athletes! Pro matches take place on spike logs. Stay tuned for exciting updates in 2025.

  Youth rollers of all experiences are welcome and encouraged to join in on the fun! Logs will be held for beginner rollers. All amateur matches will take place on carpeted logs.

  8th ANNUAL HOLMEN SUMMER SPLASH 

  ADVANCED TOURNAMENT

  The Holmen Summer Splash returns for its 8th Annual this year at the Holmen Area Aquatic Center. The 2025 edition will include the exciting addition of USLRA ranking and super series points for Advanced competitors!

  What's on the Advanced agenda?

  • Registration is FREE - all rollers will receive a t-shirt and competitor bag.
  • Mixed brackets: Rollers will be split into two age brackets: Juniors (U7, U10) and Seniors (U13, U17, and Adult Sport). With numbers permitting, boys and girls will roll separately. The goal is to give high-level amateurs a chance to roll with NEW competition at the end of the season!
  • Participants will STILL receive awards, rankings, and super series points in their respective USLRA age divisions: U7 Co-Ed, U10 Girls, U10 Boys, U13 Girls, U13 Boys, U17 Girls, U17 Boys. 
  • Dinner will be served for rollers and families onsite after the final matches are complete!
  • The beginner tournament will take place on Saturday, August 9th at 9 AM. Stop by to cheer on the next generation of rollers!

  Holmen Summer Splash History and Mission

  The Holmen Summer Splash began in 2017 to offer an opportunity for beginner level logrollers to give competition a try in a low-pressure and fun atmosphere. To promote participation and accessibility to families and community members, participant registration and guest admission are free.   HEY LOG ROLLERS of all ages!

  The 8th Annual Holmen Summer Splash Logrolling tournament is welcoming brand new logrollers into the fun world of logrolling competition! The main event on Saturday, August 9th is designed for rollers who are new to rolling or have little to no competition experience. First-time rollers are welcome and encouraged to give it a spin at this tournament! Registration and admission are free.

  REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Wednesday, August 6th at 11:59 PM

  T-SHIRT REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Saturday, July 26th at 11:59 PM

  Saturday's competition categories include: Junior (10 and under) Boys, Junior Girls, Senior (11-15) Boys, Senior Girls, and Adult Co-Ed (16+). Warm-ups for all rollers begin at 9:00 am, followed by a round-robin style competition, a pizza party, and an awards ceremony.

  The 2024 event welcomed its largest number of participants to date. Every competitor will go home with prizes, skills, friends, and memories they won't forget. We look forward to rolling with you at the 2025 Holmen Summer Splash!
